Yep, Yapta is hiring.
I introduced you recently to Yapta, the airfare and hotel rate price assurance innovator out of Pioneer Square. Their Intelligent Price Tracking technology has saved over $200 million in hotel and airfare costs for their corporate customers – who happen to include more than a fifth of the Fortune 500.
These guys have new openings for Inside Sales Account Managers and Account Development Representatives. All of these roles report to the Director of Inside Sales; let’ s look at the Inside Sales Account Manager jobs first.
These are all about increasing sales of Yapta products, notably the FareIQ, RoomIQ and Travel AI lines. They’ re responsible for opportunity qualification; deal development, pricing and proposal development; deal closings; and working with Yapta’ s Client Services team on the go-live for new customers. In addition, these managers work closely with Yapta’ s marketing team to support digital campaigns and trade-show events.
For the Inside Sales Account Manager positions, Yapta’ s looking for two to five years of sales development or inside-sales experience at an enterprise SaaS company, including a proven record of penetrating new markets and closing on sales.
The other category of new positions at Yapta is Account Development Representatives. These folks generate qualified sales opportunities for field-sales and channel-sales teams by following up on inbound leads, and by contacting prospects through outbound marketing and industry-focused campaigns.
This role requires a solid understanding of Yapta’ s products, and the ability to market those products via phone, email, messaging, and other digital-marketing techniques. The position also calls for strong personal-presentation skills, including a knack for demonstrating services and fielding questions.
While this is a slightly more junior role, it’ s not for newbies – Yapta would like to see at least a year or two of enterprise SaaS sales-development or inside-sales experience. As with the Inside Sales Manager position, a bachelor’ s degree is required; a technical major is preferred; and travel-industry experience is a plus but not a must. PS From PSP: This month, two of Seattle’ s (heck, the world’ s) most iconic companies – Amazon and Starbucks – have made splashes with significant upgrades in pay or benefits.
