Another Winshuttle regional sales-director job – this one closer to home.
Readers with especially keen eyes and long memories might recall an announcement last year for a Winshuttle regional Director of Sales opening in the Midwest. I know there may have been some of you Pacific Northwest folks who were intrigued by that role but didn’ t want to move to a part of the country where the summer temperatures get all the way up in the 90s. I mean, imagine that!
Well, the good folks at Winshuttle are looking to fill another regional Director of Sales post – and this one is right here on the West Coast, based at the software company’ s headquarters in Bothell. We prefer someone located in Bothell, but you Californians are welcome too!
Reporting to the Vice President for Sales, this position manages a team of six to eight account executives. As a sales-team leader, the individual in this role will be responsible for the team landing new accounts, maintaining existing business, and working with partners. He or she will also be in charge of the regional team’ s progress in meeting and (ideally) exceeding specific sales goals.
This job requires someone with strong interpersonal skills. It involves conferring frequently with prospects and customers – as well as recruiting, training, managing, and motivating salespeople.
For this role, Winshuttle is seeking someone with at least eight years’ experience in successfully managing enterprise-software sales teams. ERP or SAP sales experience is a must, as is a proven ability to collaborate with a wide range of in-house functions, from HR to IT.
If this sounds like you or someone you know, don’ t hesitate to get in touch.
PS From PSP: That crashing sound you heard the other day was me chucking my crystal ball out the window onto the sidewalk below. In my last announcement, you may recall, I spoke of using a (perhaps) fictional crystal ball to identify a new opening at Auth0.
So far, so good. But then, in my “ PS” for that announcement, I went on to wax prophetic about how Seattle’ s “ relatively moderate, livable” summer temperatures could serve as a long-term lure for talent fleeing areas hit harder by climate change.
That could all indeed prove true, but the fact that this recent uncharacteristic heat wave came right after that prognostication has me a little freaked out. Lesson learned! ###
