They’ re responding to a market that increasingly demands higher efficiency, lower emissions, and deeper consumer trust. Want proof of this shift? How’ s this: In April, renewable sources surpassed coal in monthly electricity generation for the first time in history.
One area company that’ s helping to lead this transition is PSC Consulting in Kirkland, which advises the energy industry on sustainable-power strategies.
To cite one example from here in Washington, PSC helped develop a battery energy storage system to capture and store power from renewable sources like solar panels and wind turbines. Such storage is hugely important, since one knock on renewables had been that they couldn’ t provide reliable electricity when the sun was down or the wind was low. That’ s an increasingly outdated objection as companies like PSC bring rapidly evolving technologies online.
As you might expect, this is a mission-driven enterprise, and that mission is this: “ We deliver expertise and solutions to utilities and energy companies around the world, empowering them to innovate and thrive in a rapidly changing industry.”
In order to deliver that expertise to even more utilities and energy companies, PSC is seeking a Head of Global Sales for the PSC Group. It’ s a very senior position, reporting to the President and CEO and participating actively in the firm’ s global steering team.
The Head of Global Sales role is responsible for developing and implementing effective sales practices and strategies across the Group, and for both setting and achieving sales and growth targets.
PSC is looking for someone who can build and manage teams. Depending on the candidate, the position may also entail stewardship of marketing and brand operations.
The ideal applicant will have spent a decade or more in professional sales and sales leadership. Experience in a professional-services industry is a huge bonus; experience in the electricity industry is strongly preferred. Given both the global nature of PSC’ s work and the seniority of this position, the job entails some degree of travel.
