Subject Matter Expert, SAP FICO
Winshuttle seeks SAP-savvy financial accounting expert. (With a bit of the Bard thrown in.)
So – you know financial accounting. Really well. You can work your way through ledgers like a genie. If accounting is the “ language of business,” you are its Shakespeare, its Dante, its Goethe.
That’ s all terrific. But Winshuttle is looking for something more.
The hot Bothell software-services company has a new opening for an Enterprise Solutions Manager for Financial Accounting and Shared Services. This is a subject-matter expert role that is responsible for marketing Winshuttle’ s services to the finance and shared-service sectors.
The company needs someone who knows SAP FICO – but that’ s just table stakes. It’ s also looking for someone who can communicate, and who understands marketing and thought leadership. In other words, you’ re going to have to take off your green eyeshades for this one.
You’ ll need to have deep (and I mean DEEP) familiarity with SAP – but also a knack for getting in front of customers and talking about it. Those customers are everywhere, so expect to travel up to 50 percent of the time, including occasional international trips.
You’ ll be delivering keynote presentations at industry events, and taking every opportunity you can to tell the financial sector about the value of Winshuttle’ s offerings. This will include written communication.
So, if you DO happen to have some of the Shakespeare in you, that hath value. Yea, verily.
So, to apply or not to apply – that is the question.
' Tis nobler to have 8+ years of experience in financial accounting, consulting, or SAP business-support functions; a high degree of technical proficiency is a consummation devoutly to be wished.
As Malvolio says in Twelfth Night, “ Be not afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon ‘ em.”
This is the kind of job that will be great for the right candidate – if that’ s you, let me know!
PS From PSP: Wow – I am deeply, deeply impressed by the trove of ideas I’ ve been getting from you guys in response to my request for proposals on how to celebrate PSP’ s 20th birthday next year. So far, they include everything from karaoke to BASE jumping, and I get the feeling you guys are just getting started. Keep those fantastic ideas coming – I may even figure out a special prize for the winning submission!
